[ElfstoneLARP] Avegost LARP

Haven't heard from Elfstone in a while so in a grab for player's I'll post an advertisement for my LARP in the Savannah, Georgia and Mitten, Georgia area.

Avegost is a heavily detailed work created by Joseph Landolfi, an anthropology and medieval history student and enthusiast. Avegost has had incarnations in the Neverwinter Night's video game, Dungeons and Dragons table top roleplay, and has gathered a small fan-base.

Joseph Landolfi owns and runs the www.Avegost.com domain, hosting his stories and plots for his players in his pen and paper games. An extensive wiki with several hundred articles exist to trap the information of Avegost's lore in one area. Player's hoping for immersion will be pleased. Joseph Landolfi has played in multiple LARPs including NERO, Phoenixlarp, and CARPS. As a staff member of NERO, Joe learned the ins and outs for two years and is now seeking to renew the experience.

As of July 2009 however, work began at a rapid pace on a LARP game which would operate in the Avegost world and service the Savannah and East Georgia areas. Player's from everywhere are welcome to join and are encouraged to join the forum and become involved in an effort to help shape an already awesome game. The first sessions are expected late July or Early August of 2009 in the form of One-Days in the Savannah/Richmond Hill area of Georgia.

Player's will be expected to pass a safety course, regardless of prior LARP experience, at the beginning of their first event. Pre-Registering for events is encouraged. Player's receive bonus "Advancement Points" for bringing new players, donating items to the game, and overall being active within the community.

The logistical system of Avegost LARP is heavily influenced by that of former LARP, Phoenixlarp of the New Orleans area and the CARPS LARP system of Michigan. An emphasis exists on interaction and roleplay though combat skills do have a large presence. Avegost LARP has an age requirement of 18 years of age.
